How to Freeze

Wash and drain berries. Slice or crush berries then sprinkle with sugar to taste. Mix well until sugar dissolves. Place in freezer containers.

  • No-Cook Strawberry Freezer Jam
  • 2 cups crushed berries
  • 4 cups sugar
  • 3/4 cup water
  • 1 box fruit pectin (1/3 cup)

Thoroughly mix fruit and sugar in large bowl; let stand 10 mins. Mix water and fruit pectin in small saucepan. Boil 1 min, stirring constantly. Remove from heat and stir into fruit. Continue stirring 3 mins. Ladle quickly into six 1 cup containers. Cover at once with tight lids. Let stand overnight, then store in freezer.

Strawberry Pie

  • 1 1/4 cups sugar
  • 3 oz pkg strawberry gelatin
  • 2 cups water
  • 3 tablespoons cornstarch
  • 1/8 teaspoon salt
  • 1 qt berries, whole or halved
  • 1- 9 inch baked pie shell

Cook sugar, water, cornstarch and salt until it thickens. Add gelatin and stir to dissolve. Cool. Put strawberries into cooled, baked pie shell. Spoon gelatin mixture over strawberries. Top with whipped topping or sweetened whipped cream.
