JUNIPER PROCUMBENS NANA
Juniperus procumbens, commonly called Japanese garden juniper, ‘Nana’ is a dwarf, less vigorous form that features
spiny-pointed blue-green needles. It typically slowly grows
8-12” tall and spreads to 6’ wide over time. Foliage may turn purplish
in winter. This
tough juniper tolerates drought, heat and humidity, pollution in urban
settings, the seashore, wind, and deer and rabbit munching! It prefers a dryish, sandy soil, root rot may occur in wet, poorly drained soils.
